Yuba City's Leisure
Services Department offers a potpourri of year-round recreational
activities for the entire family. Everthing from organized softball
to aerobics; from swimming to stained glass.
Leisure Services operates 11 neighborhood parks, three passive parks with peaceful open spaces, a community swimming pool and a boat ramp on the Feather River.
Sutter County also maintains parks... including river front parks, an airport and two boat ramps.
Non-government recreational facilities include two bowling alleys, two multi-screen theaters, a live theater and a rifle & pistol range. If golf is your passion, several area courses and driving ranges will challenge your skill.
And, if that's not enough, our twin city, Marysville just across the Feather River offers even more recreational and leisure time activities!
Some of the best pheasant, duck and goose hunting areas in California are in Sutter County. Fishermen can feast on trout, steelhead, salmon, sturgeon, shad and striped bass caught in the Feather, Yuba or Sacramento Rivers.
Organized hikes in the Sutter Buttes have become a special recreational opportunity attracting visitors from near and far.
Waterskiing and pleasure boating are readily accessible in area rivers and lakes. Snow skiing, at some of the world's greatest downhill and cross country areas, is just two hours away in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and at Lake Tahoe.
