Multiplayer 3D Hearts or play against computer opponent

How To Win:

The objective of Hearts is to avoid scoring points. The game ends as soon as one of the four players reaches or goes over 100 points. At that point, the player with the least number of points wins.

How To Play:

Single/Multiplayer Game: Before playing you must decide which type of game you wish to play. To play against real live human beings there are two options:

  1. You can Join Any Open Game , which means you will be paired up randomly against other people waiting to play, but you won't be able to chat.

  2. You can Create or Join A Private Game , in which case you and up to 3 other friends select a screen name and password for your private table.

Hearts uses a standard 52-card deck, and each player is dealt 13 cards. On the first hand all players pass 3 cards to the person on their immediate left. For the second hand, all players pass 3 cards to the person on their immediate right, and the third hand requires that you pass 3 cards to the person across from you. On the fourth hand, no cards are passed. This passing pattern is repeated and continues until the game ends.

  • On the first trick the player holding the 2 of clubs must lead with it. The other players, in clockwise order, must play a card of the suit which was led, if possible.
  • If they do not have a card of that suit, they may play any card.
  • The person who played the highest card of the suit led wins the trick and leads to the next trick.
  • It is ILLEGAL to lead a heart until after a heart has been played (as a discard) to another trick. Discarding a heart, thus allowing hearts to be led in future, is called Breaking Hearts

Scoring:

  • Every heart that you take is worth one penalty point.
  • the queen of spades is worth 13 penalty points.
  • In every deck a total of 26 points will be divided up among the players, with one exception.
  • If a player manages to take all of the hearts and the Queen of spades (which is known as a Slam or Shooting The Moon), all other players' scores are increased by 26 points.
