Multiplayer 3D Spades or play
against computer opponent
How To Win:
Spades is played with two teams of two players each.
Teammates sit opposite each other. The team with the
highest score above 500 wins the game.
How To Play:
Single/Multiplayer Game: Before playing
you must decide which type of game you wish to play.
To play against real live human beings there are two
options:
- You can Join Any Open Game , which
means you will be paired up randomly against other
people waiting to play, but you won't be able to chat.
- You can Create or Join A Private Game ,
in which case you and up to 3 other friends select
a screen name and password for your private table.
Each player is dealt 13 cards per hand. Each player
must then make a bid , which is the
number of tricks they expect to take. Nil means zero
tricks will be taken. Double nil is a bid of nil without
looking at the cards.
Click on SHUFFLE to begin game play.
Play begins with player left of the dealer. Any card
except a spade may be played on the first trick. If the
player only has spades then a spade may be played. The
player to the left must follow with the same suit if
able, or any card otherwise. If the trick contains spades
it is won by the player who played the highest spade;
otherwise it is won by the player who played the highest
card of the leading suit. The winner leads the next hand. Spades
may not lead until they have been played.
Scoring: Scores are tallied at the
end of each hand.
- Players who took at least as many tricks as bid received
10 times their bid.
- If the bid is not achieved then 10 points are lost
for each trick bid.
- If a bid of nil is successful, the nil bidder's side
receives 100 points, otherwise 100 points are lost.
- Successful double nil gains 200 points or loses 200
points if it fails.
