If you are a dissatisfied customer of any ServiceMaster company and have not received justice or satisfaction, the following is a sample letter I hope you will cut and paste and send to at least five of your friends and family.
Subject: Consumer Warning If you are doing or plan to do business with Terminix, TruGreen, Merry Maids, American Home Shield, or any other ServiceMaster-owned company, you should read the customer and employee complaints, governmental actions, and court cases posted on the “Termnix - Consumer Alert!” web site at http://www.syix.com/emu. The site provides invaluable information at no charge and receives absolutely no revenue. The complaints on the site repeatedly illustrate that once harmed by a ServiceMaster company, it is almost impossible to obtain restitution or satisfaction due to the company’s demonstrated proclivity and mandatory arbitration clauses and the high costs of legal representation. After years of continued abuses the government has failed to stop; and which, with rare exceptions, the media doesn’t report, we homeowners and customers are taking the only action left for us -- and that is to inform our friends and family so you can make informed choices and avoid the pitfalls before it is also too late for you. Unfortunately, it is too late for me. [Insert your story here.] Please forward this to at least five of your friends and family; or better yet, to everyone in your address book. Hopefully, they will forward it on to their friends and family and keep it going. Despite the non-reporting media and government, we “little people” can get the word out; and together, we can make a difference. I would appreciate a “bc” or a “cc” of the letter so I’ll know people other than myself are utilizing this tool. If you choose to not forward this to your friends and family, you will not receive “bad luck”; however, it is possible they will if your choice is to keep them uninformed.
