Greetings From the East: Brethren,
Ladies, and Friends: Congratulations
to our new Master Mason, Brother Darrell Smith. We extend a fraternal
welcome as he joins deal.
Be expecting a personal reminder phone call from one of the pedestal
officers prior to the meal and meeting.
Thanks again to all the Brethren who helped make the DeMolay
Rummage Bob
Lavy, Master
Greetings From
the West: I am
on fire. No … you don’t have to call 9-1-1 or ask your wife “Where did I
put that new extinguisher we bought?, our Senior Warden’s gone and done
it again”. No… I am referring to the fact that I am on fire with
anticipation and intent, now that Spring is here at last, and I can get
out into our garden to tend to our existing plants and trees, and to grow
new ones, if the Great Architect of the Universe will allow. They say that April showers bring May
flowers, and although that may be true in some places, and not true in
others, it illustrates a point: If you want your garden to grow the way
you want it to, you not only have to prepare it and sow the seeds or
plant the cuttings in the right medium...Once you’re done with that, you
also have to water it and give it nutrients to make it grow. I’m sure you already knew that
though. And that goes for
everything in life… especially for |

our
fraternity. As Freemasons we prepare our garden by our exemplary
conduct. We sow the seeds of future good men by the blooms of our words and
deeds. When those good men poke their heads above the ground to see the
light by which we work, we nurture them until they become strong enough to
bring forth fruit and seeds of their own. We do this by giving them the
knowledge and support they need to grow and survive, and by letting them
know that they are in a garden that is healthy and strong and productive and
safe. Brethren, we have much work to
do in our garden and you as Master Gardeners are authorized to come and
tend to, and nourish, all new seedlings as well as those older plants that
occasionally need a bit of encourage-ment and light to remain productive. April is a month fraught with hope for
the summer to come, and a special time for all of us to rejoice in what we
can do for the future. Come and join us when you can, or call or write when
you can’t. Ed Bernard, Senior Warden Greetings
From the SOUtH: Why haven’t YOU attended
Lodge lately? Respectfully,
Gray Poole,
Junior Warden Greetings From
the Secretary: Thank
you to all who have paid their dues! If you haven’t yet, please pay if you
can or if your in need of assistance, let me know! Suspension will always be this Lodges
VERY last resort, yet we must abide by the Grand Lodge Masonic Code. It is sad to see this and even more when
some don’t understand I have a job to do, so no hard feelings to anyone…
yet, it has to be done and we’ll move forward as this historic lodge has
always done. So let’s jump into this month, listening for those who seek
information on Masonry and then send them my way! See you at every meeting! Pete Mandarino, Secretary
