This page contains information on how to kill the mail messages marked as ***SPAM*** so you wont see them. This is for Microsoft Outlook, not to be confused with Outlook Express. This will not delete SPAM from our server because Microsoft Outlook (MSO) doesn't have that capability. These instructions will download and put all messages with the subject marked as ***SPAM*** in your Deleted Items folder. I highly suggest that you print this page so you can have a handy reference. While in MSO, click on the Tools menu, then go to Rules Wizrad... and you should see this window: 
Now click on the New button on the top right of this window. You will open a window that looks like this:  You'll see that there are two boxes here. In the first box highlight the line that says 'Move messages based on content' with your left mouse button. In the second box click on the words 'specific words' with the left mouse button. You will be presented with an 'Search Text' window that will look like this:  Type in the words: ***SPAM*** , then click on the Add button on the right and it should look llike this:  Now click on the OK button and you will return to the Rules Wizard window and it should look like this:  Click on the word specified inthe second box and you will get a window liike this:  Highlight the Deleted Items folder as above, then click on the OK button. You will return to the Rules Wizard and it should look like this:  Click on the Next button and go to the next Rules Wizard window where you should uncheck anything there and put a check in in the checkox that says 'with specific word in the subject' and it should look like this:  Now, click on the 'Finish' button and you will wind up with a Rules Wizard window that should look like this below:  Click on the OK button and now all those messages marked as ***SPAM*** should be delivered to your Deleted Item folder where you can do with them as you wish! |
