This page contains information on how to kill the mail messages marked as ***SPAM*** so you wont see them. This is for Netscap Messenger 7.0 and above This will not delete the mail off our server but will dump it directly to your trash folder. Unlike Outlook Express, Messenger (at least version7.0) does not have the ability to remove SPAM from our server. It must be downloaded. I highly suggest that you print this page so you can have a handy reference. While in Messenger, click on the Tools menu, then go to Message Filters... This is what you should now see except it will have your name at the top:  Now click on the New button on the top right of this window. You will open a 'Filter Rules' window that looks like this:  Fill out the fields and drop downs so that the final 'Filter Rules' window looks like this:  Now, Click on the OK button and you are done. ALL SPAM goes to your Trash Folder. You may review it and delete it permanently from there. To empty the Trash folder RIGHT click on it and choose Empty Trash with the left hand mouse button! |
