This page contains information on how to kill the mail messages marked as ***SPAM*** so you wont see them. This is for Outlook Express, versions 5.5 and above. This will DELETE the SPAM from our server even before you get to look at it. Notes are included in RED below in case you wish to inspect your SPAM before you delete it. I highly suggest that you print this page so you can have a handy reference. While in Outlook Express, click on the Tools menu, then go to Message Rules and then choose Mail. This is what you should now see except you may not have any current rules, don't worry about it: Now click on the New button on the top right of this window. You will open a window that looks like this: You'll see that you have 4 numbered boxes here. In number 1 put a check in the checkbox that says: Where the Subject line conatins specific words. In the box numbered 2 scroll to the bottom and put a check in the checkbox that says: Delete it from server. Please note. This will kill the message BEFORE you get it. If you wish to review the messages marked ***SPAM*** then choose the checkbox that say: Delete it, near the top of box number 2. That will put anything marked ***SPAM*** in your Deleted Items folder in Outlook Express. Next, in the box numbered 3, click on the blue colored words: contains specifiic words and you will next see this screen: Type in the words: ***SPAM*** as it shows above, then click on the Add button on the right and it should look llike this: Now click on the OK button and you will return to the New Mail Rule window. In the 4th box (where is says 'Mail Rule #1' type in the workds, 'Spam Rule #1' instead. Now your New Mail Rule window will look like this: Click the OK button and you are done, no more spam!!!
