This page contains information on how to kill the mail messages marked as ***SPAM*** so you wont see them. This is for Outlook Express, versions 5.1 (you must have Internet Explorer 5.1 installed to have Outlook Express 5.1) and above on a Apple Macintosh computer. This will not delete the SPAM from our server as Outlook Express on a Mac doesn't have that capability. It will download it to your Deleted Items folder for your review and subsequent deletion. Sorry, no pictures here as I don't know how to do a screen shot on a Mac but the instructions are pretty simple. While in Outlook Express, click on the Tools menu, and choose Mail Rules. A Mail Rule window will open up. Rule Name: Spam Rule In the Criteria box choose Subject in the 1st drop down, then choose Contains in the 2nd dropdown. Go to the next field, immediately to the right and type in ***SPAM*** In the Execute Actions if: dropdown between frames, down it down and choose 'any criteria are met' In the last frame drop the list down in Action 1 and choose Delete Message. Click on the OK button and you are done!!! |
