Description: Brittan School and Sutter Union High School in Sutter City. The Sutter Union High School was the first High School in Sutter County established in 1893 with only 18 students. The upper floor classrooms of the Brittan School became the High School. Students from all over the area attended high school in Sutter. Many Students boarded with local family's during the school week, returning home only periodically during the school year.
