Black and white photo of the Sutter County Courthouse at 2nd and C streets after the 1899 fire left it a burned out shell. Children and dogs pose among the young palms for the photograph on the front lawn. The Hall of Records remains intact behind the Courthouse. The photograph was printed from a glass plate negative.
