Please follow the steps below to install your new SYIX.COM Internet Connection.
- Download the Setup Program from here.
- Save the download to your Desktop or another place on your hard drive.
- Once completed, navigate to where you saved "setup.exe" and open it.
- The "SYIX Setup" installation will start.
- Type your full name in the "Full Name" box.
- In the "Username" box please enter your SYIX.COM Username.
- Enter the password assigned to you in the "Password" box.
- In the "E-mail" box enter just your username, which is the first part
of your e-mail address, which includes everything left of
the "@" sign. Do not include the "@" sign.
- To the right of the "Dialup Number" box, click the "Select" button.
- Select your state from the "State" drop-down box.
- Select your city from the "City" drop-down box.
*If you city is not listed, you can enter your area code in the "Area Code" box
to display a list of numbers in that area code. Just because a city is not listed
does not mean we do not offer a local number. The dialup number may be in
a different town close to your location. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU ARE
CALLING A LOCAL NUMBER by calling us or the operator.
- Once you have selected a dialup number, click on "OK".
- Please read the message displayed in the window, you must click on "OK" to continue.
- If the line your computer is connected to has the Call Waiting feature offered by your
telephone provider, you may opt to disable it by checking the "Disable Call Waiting"
checkbox and verifying the correct command to disable this feature.
- Click "OK". This will start the configuration process. If there is no modem in your computer
you will be prompted to install one at this time.
- Once completed your computer is Setup for SYIX.COM Internet Access! Open Internet
Explorer and the computer should bring up a dialer window. Just make sure your password
is entered and click on "Connect".
